On the copyright front, things are much harder to police as you might expect. Canada, for example, had a pirating issue, at least as of 3 years ago. Maybe they've addressed that, I don't know. But that problem exists in many countries.

Trade is very important, and tariffs are not the answer. China imports the most goods from the US (behind our neighbors). And unless a small miracle happens in Mexico, China will likely overtake them in the next 10 years to claim the number 2 spot.
