Racer,,,That was the idea with the articles of confederation. More or less a treaty by the sovereign states. Whith the adoption of the constitution, they permanently formed a new government. The only way out was revolutuon.

Paul,,, The recent ruling that classified uber's drivers as employees was a big deal. I believe more cab companies will adopt the uber business model. That will mean big losses of revenue for cities. But, hey, it's an idea whose time has come.

AMI,,, The last time I was in Vegas the competition was between cabs and limos. And the limos were winning. We hired a limo to haul eight of us from downtown to home for twenty bucks. About a twenty minute ride.

And they cheat. A cab has to report to a holding lot waiting for his turn in line. The limos drive right up to the arrivals area like they already have a pick up. Then they quickly negotiate a fare and leave.
