Great idea Obama, what a way to address the police brutality issue without getting stuck in the muck of the racism.

i would again, but this has become a civil rights issue.
Civil rights issue? LMMFPRAO!!!!
not sure thinker, there is plenty of evidence that bad cops abuse their power regardless of the suspect's race
look up Dillon Taylor
civil rights is not a race issue.... the police have been getting out of hand accross the board.
everyone had civil rights. I know sometimes you don't think of them applying to you as you civil rights are not often challenged, or ignored.
i know dillon's story. PLC tried to push it off as a black cop killing a white kid. It is really sad, and should not have happened. let me ask though how often does dillion's story occur in this coutry? Mike brown's is happening everyday.
I just think it is a good safe idea for all parties involved and will be a tangible answer to this problem.
police departmemts shiuld be overwhelmingly supportive of this, but we will see.
Mile Brown is happening every day? Can you back that claim up?
The Police killing assailants on a daily (or even weekly) basis should be easy to find.
Why are you carrying Mike Brown's water? You were wrong about Travon and you are wrong about Brown..... Both were thugs, they didn't have to die, they chose to fight vs being responsible...

Did Mike brown attack the cop?
Did Mike brown bum rush the police officer?
Mike brown made some very poor choices and it was his fault it ended the way it did.
Look up Zemir Begic , he was innocent.
Thinker doesn't care. He won't start any threads on Zemir. He's not black.
I will ask you this again John...... did they deserve to die?
i did look him up and I will ask this question? was the culprit apprehended? will justice be served?
you miss the whole point in why ppl are angry plc.
the boy who killed zemir will be booty bate for the majority of his adult life and rightly so?
there is no point to start a thread on zemir
is Zemirs family getting justice and closure?
We should have riots for Zemir, burn down a KFC....
Did Mike Brown deserve to die? That's your question?
Wasn't it Mike Brown's decision?
Mike Brown wasn't a victim.
so in john's world if you commit a crime you deserve to die?
in johns world if you commit a crime you choose to die?
no matter what the crime is
I think it's a "suicide by cop angle".

why is your idea only acceptable in minority neighborhoods?
and I am not "carrying the water" for brown. I am carrying it for my son, and his children. There is still an obvious ignorance in this country, and the diacussion needs to be had.
Is punching a cop smart?
Is bum rushing a cop smart?
In your world Mike brown didn't do anything wrong.
Mike brown wouldn't be dead if he made some better decisions.
no, but does it autimatically mean the right to kill?
john you are either obfuscating the Mike brown case as a life or death situation or you are trying to say that it is ok to kill blacks for any crime without saying it
Why has the Mike Brown thing been turned into some kinda morality play?

Obviously, the Grand jury don't know what you are talking about.... I think if this would've went to trial, Darrel Wilson would still have his job.
he could still havehis job .......he quit
Mike Brown took Wilsons job from him. Wilson should sue his estate.
For the record. If you, through your actions, put a Police Officers or any other persons life at risk while committing a crime, you deserve to be killed to be stopped. Is that simple enough?
Ok let's look at this from a glass half-full perspective. We've got a new protest chant "hands up, don't shoot". Accurate? Maybe not. But it gets protesters hands up in the air so the cops can see that they aren't doing shít, so that's good.
I thought of that the other day..... I think putting one hand up would be better for society.
The right hand
I was thinking either..... In a classroom.
I was thinking the right. As in taking the oath to become a Police Officer or Soldier or whatever.
Oh.... Haha, I thought maybe you meant in court.... Haha
That too! Testify against the ones destroying their community. End the no snitching rule of the street.
Either way, become a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. Like some posters here.
those cameras are the solution. let the footage tell the truth.
PEOPLE IN FERGUSON... - http://ifunny.co/fun/kbYpgQ7V2
Cameras never tell the whole story.
The cameras come with their own bag of issues. The real issue is not technological, so the cameras won't do much to solve the underlying problem. They may be a short term bandaid though.
what is the underlying problem in your op underwater?

Did we ever find out how far Wilson was standing from brown at the moment of the last shot? Wasn't Brown's body like a hundred and thirty five feet from the squad car?

There's not much I'm not comfortable with. You speaking for humanity might be one.
When the Aliens come down, they will ask to speak to someone. We will send the one they call, - - - UndrWater---, for he is the speaker for Humanity and all of Earth's creatures.
Wait! I was promised that I would have the spokesperson for humanity job! This is bullcrap!
The problem is that blacks are racist and think Brown is a victim, because he's black.

Black people can't be racist. No minority can. Only whites can be.
as a whole black people are more racist than white people. that being said, as individuals i believe plc and john are more racist than most individuals here.
but this has never been about race to me. there is a lot of confirmation bias here and it makes everyone eat themselves, a lot of people are putting up fake pictures to overstate their side of the story, like john.
so everyone has lost sight of the truth.
the only problem with cameras is police will turn them off with impunity.
police officers are given the authority to do whatever they want and the protection of entire departments for corrupt police under the guise of brotherhood. the power they are given corrupts.

The only ones who feel this incident is about race are black.

But we know what group would be cheering at the death of that cop
No, keep trying you'll get it
no, pretty sure it would be those guys.
Do you not see I'm trying to get you to say African Americans?
poor kid. Too bad he got himself killed. I wonder where his parents were. I feel just as bad for that police officer. He killed a child. The fact that it was the child's fault doesn't make it any better.
a don't say african american, i think its stupid.
but as far as blacks are concerned they may not all cry if police die, but the hutaree wanted to kill police and bomb their funerals, I don't think they had any black members.
yeah, all white.

I saw that. Didn't really care when I read it and less now that you pint it out.

No indictment. Is that 0 for 4? Civility wins. Again.
that is what is happening....... only in this case it is clearer
412035 i sm curious as to why you believe blacks are the most racist group in this country?
we don't hate for the sake of hating. white society has always hated and rejected us. The problem with todays world is the white racist don't wear their hearts on their sleeves anymore like the good old days where you smack a #### in the head and
and laugh while he bleeds. Todays hardcore white racist are few in number and blend in with society. They exercise their discrimination socio-economical like denying loans, slighting services, underfunding schools, etc. NOT ALL WHITE PPL ARE RACIST!
I fundamentally believe this. But history has taught me that when things that are happen in society don't seem right or fair the few devils among the sheep are at work. Here is my biggest question to you 412035, how can a ppl who has suffered
dehumanizing torture at the hands of another ppl, in the past, be called racist for questioning things that are going on today?
and you PLC, you have said some ####ed yp #### in the past, but blaming the death of that child on on him is quite sad. Its funny a cop gunning down a 12 yo child makes sense to you, but a cop gunning defusing a situation with his baton doesn't.
Sometimes in life we don't understand things until they happen to us.
Black ppl are not racist just tired.
We are tired of being scrutinized more than any other group.
tired of fighting battles for basic ####.
tired of the everyday shade that is thrown on us.
institutional racism is real.
looks like if you read between the lines you agree with me.
Thinker. Stop playing the victim. It's pathetic. If you want respect give reapect. Garner did not give respect. Brown did not give respect. They created the situation that caused their deaths. They themselves. Not Whitey
A 12 year olds death never makes sense. Under any circumstances. I understand the officers reaction. It's a reasonable response to the situation. A tragic end. Not created by the cop.
because if you don't respect someone, you lose your rights.
Beverly Hills, CA, USA
UW, you don't lose your rights, you simply invite conflict that could have been avoided. What happens when you don't respect someone's property? Not respecting someone's body? Not respecting any number of laws?
In certain instances, yes. If you don't respect the rules set forth by society, you may lose your rights. You don't have to respect the person. You have to respect the law.
The kid in Cleveland should have never been shot. The man in NY should have never been choked the way he was. I disagree with PLC on both of those. The cops were definitely in the wrong.
Mike Brown got himself killed.
Once you attack someone, that person has a RIGHT to defend themselves.
We can all disagree. That's what makes America great.
Grand jury has agreed with me on 2. We'll see what happens with the third.
not created by the cop? Lord why do I try...... I know PLC is one of your special children.
The moral of the story is don't resist. Follow police orders. Obey the law. Not that hard to do.
a cop with a tainted police record pulls up to the scene and within 2 seconds asseses someone needs to die.
and proceeds to shoot a kid.
I wonder how you and john will vilify this boys character?
at the very least this man should be kicked off the force and wrongful death charges should be filed.
Oh, the ignorance!
Not created by the cop. The cop didn't say hey, theres a kid. I think I'll go kill him. He responded to a call of a man with a gun. The kid reached for the gun. What should the cop have done at that point?
"I wonder how you and john will vilify this boys character?" LMAO! You're such a puppet.
what does that mean? In this country we have the rights to bear arms.
We don't have the right to reach for a gun when confronted by the police.

do you dispute what those three claim, plc?
A lot of opinions. Just. Opinions.
so the things they saw and experienced were just opinions?
TIL getting kicked in the groin repeatedly is just an opinion.
maybe he shouldn't have been resisting, amiright?
Yes. Their take on what they saw and experienced are just their opinions. We can both watch the Eric garner video and gave different opinions.
Who getting kicked in the groin? I'm not sure what you're talking about but getting kicked in the balls is not an opinion. WHY you're getting kicked in the balls is. See how that works?
you should try reading. the groin kicking is in there.
It must be in the Times link that doesn't work. Doesn't matter. Opinions are just that. Opinions. We all have them.
the link works fine on multiple devices for me...
it's from a retired NYPD captain.
I don't think it's the link...

LOL! No matter how hard you try, you'll never be like
So the opinion of a retired NYPD Captain is more than an opinion? What's the point? You do have a point, don't you?
Who's the Captain? I'll try to google the opinion piece.
I find it funny how that specific link conveniently didn't work
funny that you dismiss their experiences as "opinions", as if those witnessed events didn't happen.
you're a joke
"Eric L. Adams is the Brooklyn borough president, a retired New York Police Department captain and the co-founder of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care."
I'm a joke. I'm asking for info so I can find the opinion piece. But an opinion piece it is. Is it not?
Eric Adams? LMMFAO!!! Do you know anything about Eric Adams or are you just caressing his balls because you share the same opinion?
Before I look for his opinion I want you to know that he is a racist POS! A Farrakhan boy who is as bad as Sharpton. That is MY opinion. Which you are free to dismiss because I'm sure you don't want to agree with me.
But MY opinion isn't based on a Google search like all of yours are. MY opinion is based on interactions iv'e had with Eric Adams. Personally. A POS like you wouldn't beloeve. I can only hope he get his balls kicked.
Now you sit there and give me a minute to find and read this opinion piece. Don't run away. I know the type of bitch you can be.
yup, you're a joke.
Read this in the meantime. http://roomgate.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-secret-history-of-eric-adams.html?m=1
What makes me a joke?
My opinion? Because they're different than yours? My experiences? Because they're different than yours? what exactly makes a person like me a joke to you?
Is this the OPINION you are hanging your hat on?
Ok. I read his opinion. Like I said. The fact that he was kicked in the balls has what to do with what? Did he? I guess. He says it happened. But what does that have to do with anything? Was it racist? Who knows.
Was it abuse? Who knows. Was it deserved? Who knows. Was it appropriate? Who knows.
is that an anonymous blog for character assassination you're trying to hang your hat on?
So I ask again. What's the point? Or did you run away already? I wouldn't be surprised.
what circumstances require a repeated ballkicking in the basement of a police station?
I can't think of any.
Did you just answer a question with a question? Awww. Are you butt hurt? I'm not hanging my hat on anything. Just pointing out that you can find opinions on all sides of anything.
Your links to people's opinions don't mean ####. I don't care how much you think they strengthen your opinion. You posting it kinda shows how uncertain you are of your own. Needing "backup".
I don't know. I wasn't there. Maybe he was fighting the police. I don't know. Neither do you.
so what's yoir point? I hope you have one.
"Maybe he was fighting the police"
He could've been...but if you believe that I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
im not surprised. So what's your point?
Is there a point here? That the police are bad people? That blacks are always right? That opinions that you agree with are the only opinions that matter. There has to be a point here somewhere. Is it too weak to mention?
Hudson - Treated poorly as a cop as a youth in St. Louis, joined the force to change that. "But too many times, officers saw young black and brown men as targets. They would respond with force to even minor offenses.
And because cops are rarely held accountable for their actions, they didn’t think too hard about the consequences."
"Even when officers get caught, they know they’ll be investigated by their friends, and put on paid
Or did you you run away? That's what people like you do.
leave. My colleagues would laughingly refer to this as a free vacation. It isn’t a punishment. And excessive force is almost always deemed acceptable in our courts and among our grand juries. Prosecutors are tight with
law enforcement, and share the same values and ideas."
Adams - Personal anecdote, I agree that the independent prosecutor is necessary because of how closely they work together.
Serpico - same as above - independent investigating body needed.
"You posting it kinda shows how uncertain you are of your own. Needing "backup"." - That's fu*king stupid logic there, Lou.
now are those links supposed to show how unsure you are of your opinion? or is that just a one-way thing?
I want cops who actually commit crimes to be punished for those crimes. So does everyone else I know. These examples proves that it does happen. These guys were arrested by other police officers.
They were indicted by their local grand juries and prosecuted by their local DAs. Rightfully so. If you break the law you should pay the price. Whether or not you're a police officer.
The officers in the Brown and Garner cases did not break the law. There were no racial aspect except those injected after the fact. In either case the outcome would be the same with white thugs.
so... some are convicted, therefore there is no appearance of conflict of interest when a prosecutor is asked to bring charges against police they work with daily?
I'm never unsure of my opinion. If I believe it I believe it. Unlike you.
Where you ever able to figure out your point? I don't think you have one. You're usually better than that. But you rarely go up against me. No easy wins here.
There is no conflict. These are professionals. They handle the cases in front of them. You can assume there is but you know what they say about assumptions.
When a cop is wrong he's wrong. He's prosecuted and dealt with. That's been shown.
Don't blame others because you're too stupid to understand the law.
there is no conflict, these are professionals.
wow, you're precious.
hey, what do professionals typically do when there is an appearance of conflict of interest?
they step aside to remove that appearance.
there may even be a word for it:
Are you this stupid in real life? When there is a conflict of interest they should. And do. Not when Sharpton thinks there is an APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest. Do you know the difference?
are you saying that judges who recuse themselves aren't professional?
Whenever some dumbass liberal in Minnesota feels like there may be an appearance of a conflict of interest, the DA should recuse himself. That makes sense.
Even if these same DAs have successfully prosecuted officers in the past.
there is an appearance of COI when prosecuting your colleague that you work with daily.
Idiots like you think that there is a cozy relationship between the DA and cops. There isn't.
you seem butthurt.
Not at all. My Giants are finally winning a game and I'm slapping you around like Eric Adams balls got slapped around years ago. What makes you think I am?
Police and DAs are not "colleagues".
it's a symbiotic enough of a relationship where they are.
you went ad hominem.
you do that when you get butthurt
No ad hominem and no butt hurt. At all. You're wrong. Again. And again. (Where did you see ad hominem?)
Symbiotic enough? Really? Please do better than that. All this argument does is show your lack of understanding on the topic.
No police officer would be qualified to make the arrest. No DA qualified to prosecute and no judge qualified to hear the case. They all have a "symbiotic enough of a relationship".
Regardless of jurisdiction
That's a mindset of total mistrust towards every single person in the criminal justice system. Which, of course, is utterly ridiculous.
A panel of regular everyday Americans heard all the evidence in these cases and made a decision. The response by liberals is disgusting and insulting to this country. Liberals are going all in for these criminals. SMH
"are you this stupid in real life"
"idiots like you"
#### all these other people's opinions. These two cases are clear cut. Criminals bucking societies rules and losing. Both responsible for their own deaths. And any aftermath.
They alone had the ability to alter the course. They alone chose the wrong path. They alone. Not slavery. Not Jim Crow. Not separate but equal. Not segregation. Nothing. They have themselves to blame.
do you need a reminder of the definition of ad hominem
"Run away now" "you're a joke" "now that's ####ing stupid logic there"
You take shots and I take shots back. I don't name call until someone else starts it. Nothing to do with any ad hominem nothing to do with being butt hurt.
the only one borderline ad hominem is the you're a joke - but that's more of a commentary on the quality of your arguments.
I can say the same
Either way, they are unnecessary.
From either side.
you got butt hurt when I couldn't get your link to work. As if I lied. (Why would I lie??) You went downhill from there. Pathetic.
As I was saying, both Brown and Garner created the situations that ultimately cost them their lives. Both had opportunities to stop. Both refused. Both were wrong. Both cops involved were innocent of any wrongdoing.
it seemed like a very convenient way to avoid the content, especially when the same link worked on every portable device I own.
Kutzky Park, Rochester, MN
I called you a joke at the time because you dismissed them having not read at least one of them. for all I knew, it was all three.
you've done it in the past.
I'm on an IPhone. Don't know or care if that matters. I don't try to avoid any content. Never have. Not having read all three and my conclusion was the same. Opinions are great. We all have them. So what..
Time to get past that and address the issue. Can you do that?
yes. independent prosecutors are needed.
that's the issue.
I disagree. Local DAs have been fully capable of prosecuting criminal acts by police. At least here in NY. The record proves that.
If you're making this judgement based on the Brown and Garner cases, are you implying the grand jury decisions were wrong? If so, based on what?
Either one or both.
based on the appearance of COI.
remove all doubt.
No. Based on a history of convictions its unnecessary. Appearance means nothing. An actual conflict of interest, yes. Appearance according to politics, no.
To some you can never "remove all doubt"
To cater to the sharptons of the world sets a dangerous precedent.
That is kinda the way our system is set up though, isn't it? The vocal / egomaniacal minority get the lion's share of power.
appearance is everything.
if it appears corrupt, you lose public trust.
people from across the political spectrum disagreed with the Gardner GJ result.
appealing to the history of convictions as proof the system is working is very circular and assumes it always gets everything right.
it's flawed logic.
Who would appoint the independent prosecutor and how would their independence be vetted?
Northlake, IL, USA
Making rash decisions based on emotion when history shows otherwise is flawed logic.
the only opinion that matters is that of the grand jury. The ones that had all of the information in front of them. Do t like the system, change it. But respect what we have.
requiring an independent prosecutor isn't a rash decision.
your appeal to history is circular and invalid justification.
so basically that entire statement is incorrect.
the prosecutor frames stuff for the grand jury.
that's where the "indict a ham sandwich" line comes from.
@AMI - good question. I'm sure there's precedent for other types of cases that minimize bias either way.
Anyone that has a different opinion has flawed logic. Have you noticed that? You can never just disagree. Thinking differently is never an option. Always flawed logic. I blame the person who bought you that desk calendar
Across the political spectrum? That's funny. One or two pundits is hardly across the political spectrum.
Local DA did a great fair job. The impartial grand jury did a great job. They followed the law and made an informed unbiased decision. Liberals should respect that.
nope, but people who think circular reasoning is valid have flawed logic.
that's why it's called a logical fallacy.
1-2 pundits? you may want to check your sources on that one.
you're doing a great job at being consistently wrong though!
Haven't been wrong yet. But if you say so, it must be so. I guess you declared it so.
If we get a cracker Republican back in the White House in 2016 race relations are really going to go down hill let alone we can start this war on women again
This is all putting the horse before the cart. How do you feel about the two cases? Was the grand jury wrong on both?
dirty air dirty water yee ha
1-2 pundits is wrong.
justification by circular reasoning is flawed logic, and therefore wrong.
there's two right in the last hour.
if you can't understand how you're wrong on that last one, you clearly don't know how logic works...
you judgemental wiener
check out this slippery slope
Where's the circular logic? The DA in Staten Island has performed his duty with integrity. There is no reason to believe he wouldn't do so in this or any other case. That's flawed logic?
Assuming he's not based on nothing is flawed. Questioning his integrity without reason is flawed.
Again I ask. What's your opinion on the grand jury decisions? Do you agree with them? One? None?
pointing back at the examples of convicted cops as proof the system works.
that's what you did.
"based on a history of convictions it's unnecessary"
that's 100% circular.
yes. Fix what's not broken. That works best. Leaving the case with the proper office is the correct thing to do. It's not circular to say that an office that has been above board will remain above board.
To take the case away from the proper office without reason is wrong. You can call it whatever your little calendar tells you to call it. I feel the right decision was made.
we'll get to that.
right now we're talking about you being wrong.
And again ......... Do you agree with the grand jury decisions?
I haven't been wrong yet.
I'm rarely if ever wrong.
You, of all people, should know that.
1-2 pundits = wrong
circular logic for justification = wrong
1 or 2 pundits wasn't meant as an exact number but rather a small amount. A few on the right have questioned but it hardly across the political spectrum. I'm not wrong.
Not circular logic when you claim the DA can't or won't prosecute cops and I show you they have. Throw the calendar away. It's killing you.
I'm rarely wrong. But #### it. Let's talk about your calendar or the integrity of the DA or the media. Anything but the topic.
Does your calendar mention strawman?
that's not what I claimed. nice try through.
you're wrong here.
get over it.
and calendar? wth?
you live here. you've seen me call people out for relying on logical fallacies to make their case.
Re need for special prosecutor, you claimed: "based on a history of convictions it's unnecessary"
That's your circular argument. Calling you out for it is not a strawman - your argument just sucks.
Get over it.
That is what you claimed. You quoted the opinions of others that state this. You should scroll up and re read.
gn. Off to bed. Some of us have jobs. To be continued.
When you become strong enough to admit it sucks, we can move on.
The ball is in your court.
My claim was that it was necessary because of the appearance of COI, whether or not it exists. Appearance is everything.
The same thing is said in almost every article I linked.
In case you can't find those, that'd be:
Hudson - 2nd paragraph from the end
Adams - 3rd from end
Serpico - 6th from the end
Only those who don't actually know how things work think that DAs and cops are friendly. It's the law & order effect.
Reality is much different. The public doesn't know the reality. Only the Hollywood. To make a decision based on what Hollywood says is real is not smart.
I never said friendly, I said symbiotic - i.e. a close, interdependent relationship.
This is true. Guess what? I know people, too!
You quoted that they're friends.
"And because cops are rarely held accountable for their actions, they didn’t think too hard about the consequences." "Even when officers get caught, they know they’ll be investigated by their friends, and put on paid"
You also said symbiotic. But you also quoted someone elses words describing them as friends.
It's a professional relationship. Nothing more. Nothing less.
You know people? WTF? Ok. Im happy to hear that. I guess.
the quote was from a former cop. based on his experiences. sounds like someone in the know.
re know people - i.e. knowledge not from Hollywood. sorry.
Downtown, Rochester, MN
Quote = his words, not mine. You understand how quotes work?
Do you? You are supporting his statement, are you not?
Do you always support people "in the know"? Or is it a matter of convenience for you. You support what you already believe and dismiss what you don't as anecdotal. How mature of you.
Instead of relying on racists to support or bolster your opinion, why don't you leave them out of it and be bold. Strike out on your own. Stop living under their words and use your own.
This is such a stupid conversation that has nothing to do with nothing. The topic here is the death of eric garner and michael brown.
was the action by the police justified or not. I feel both times they were. In the Brown case, the facts of the case indicate that the officer was attacked and threatened. He took action appropriately.
In the garner case, Mr Garner made the decision to resist arrest. The officers made an arrest and responded appropriately to Garners resistance.
The actions of both Brown and Garner resulted in their deaths. Sad. Unfortunate. Tragic. But the only criminality was by the now deceased.
Two grand juries of citizens with no skin in the game heard the evidence and made a decision. Thats how our system works. We should respect that.
If you and others feel the DAs involved should have recused themselves, great. Thats your opinion. I feel differently.
I have my opinion.
those other's referenced share a similar opinion, but are actually ex-cops.

this conversation is not about nothing. it's about the appearance of COI that has sparked outrage and protest.
it is the issue.
It's not the appearance on a conflict of interest that has sparked outrage. Not here in NYC. Is there something going on in Minnesota that has you confused?
The opinions of cops, former or present are still opinions. Nothing more nothing less. I give the same amount of weight to a pro GJ decision opinion as I do to a anti GJ decision opinion.
Except for adams who I personally know is a POS.
The outrage is based on the decision not to indict. Were it an independent prosecutor and a different GJ with the same result, the outrage would be the same.
the appearance of COI is the main reason behind the feeling of "no justice" that underpins both cases and will be present in future cases if nothing changes.
the change isn't radical, eliminates a major grievance, and is completely reasonable.
An independent prosecutor with the same result would squash the feeling of no justice? That's what you're saying.
maybe not completely, but it'd go a long way.
the decision whether or not to indict is strongly linked to the way the case is presented by the prosecutor.
for example, the prosecutor in Brown's case let the jury stew on an outdated statute previously ruled unconstitutional before correcting
the error near the end.
that appears fishy and feeds the narrative that it was a half hearted attempt to even get to trial.
removing the potential COI makes an act like that, even if completely unintentional, less controversial.
there's little to lose (beside your hurt feelings) and potentially lots to gain.
My hurt feelings? Why do you insist on taking petty shots then whine and moan when I respond in kind? I know why. I'm wondering if you know.
you protest too much.
or not enough
yup, I'm a big liberal meaniehead.
Or can we say the grand jury got all the data and we just got the bull crap? (Or at least you people who don't watch Fox News)

I was pretty baffled by the Garner decision and at least from everything I've seen, I don't get how the Grand Jury failed to indict there. Independent prosecutor I think is a really good idea if done right.
Rose Hill, New York, NY
Also I think the default should be release of transcripts like in Ferguson, that shouldn't be a special thing
I don't think making those kinds of adjustments "caters" to the Sharptons of the world. That's sorta Reductio ad Sharptonum.
i just want more accountability.
given history and where things used to be i see things changing for the better.
I see the police getting neutered & having to stop, hesitate, and ignore.
there will be no outcry as the police body count goes up.

So many sheep. Why do you not choose to follow The Good Shepard? It is yet another step towards lawlessness. The lawlessness will only continue to grow until the anti-christ brings "peace". The Bible unfolding before your eyes, but you still refuse

The claim of "injustice" is comical.....The true "injustice is what the people are doing to the innocent of their own communities, further, bias transcends color, age, culture and belief......racism is a disease that afflicts beyond boundaries.....

You can't be proud of that. Most any guy can pick up clean, young, disease free women at the bar for the price of a few drinks. Why do you post more about taking advantage of drug-addicted, young women more than I post about God?

I think God wants us all but our evil hearts allows Satan to get us but like anything else people always slip through so that's the plan
there is a 900 page book put out by a creationist organization putting all their half-baked #### in one book and comparing themselves to science of the 40's.
the same author has a book about how rock music is a tool of the satan, to among other things, infest the church with the idea that rock can be christian rock.

yep I do that often as well
It's funny to joke about murdering babies? Those are your grandchildren. You're worse than the Vikings who would impregnate captured women so that they'd get a higher price for them when they sold them as slaves. What kind of animal murders helpless
babies? What kind of animal odds so eager to kill babies that he can't even wait for them to exit the uterus? Modern man is so advanced. No wonder you can't believe in God.
Punk, Satan already has you. Don't know exactly what you meant by "slip through", but I hope it wasn't enter The Kingdom. Let me make it clear. Until you turn from your sin and accept Christ as not only your Savior, but also your Lord, you will most
definitely go to hell.
Sounds like a good book, Joshua. What's it called? BTW, you do realize that Joshua is the English for Jesus? Also, most music has connections to the occult. This fact is easily verifiable.

But, not your Lord? "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
There's plenty of pastors and even posters on here who will tell you what your itching ears want to hear, though. Don't let them love you right into hell.
I make up for the bad things I do
Grace makes Christianity different from every other religion. There's nothing you can do to earn it. It's God's free gift. There's nothing you can do to make God love you more and there's nothing you can do to make Him love you less. He loves each
and everyone of us more than we can fathom. It is impossible for us to do anything to make up for the evil we do. We must repent, which means turn away from sin. We need not be perfect, but we must turn from sin. If we could get to Heaven by making
up for the bad things we do then Jesus would not have had to have been nailed to a cross. For justice there must be punishment. Christ who was without sin took the punishment you and I deserved.
I disagree @ the thinker, history shows that one of the greatest atrocities committed against a culture was the murder of 6 million Jewish people, and I say that this is inncorrect, the greatest atrocities committed are still being committed (cont.)
today.....The murder and of 2.4 million Native Americans, even after the Constitution was ratified and just visit any reservation in you area or nearby will further this fact......tired, at least the Black culture is recognized.....
Either way I'm f***** because I'm hooked on these young b******
see you in hell
Are just the things that bother you personally atrocities? It's not an atrocity to murder 50 million completely innocent children in the US since the 1970s?
Do you want to be hooked?
yes it is and yes I do!
Live is deathly boring without fetish vice and addiction with the mean to satisfy them of course
Ang you're full of passion for Jesus that's your addiction and you're deep.If we were all like that we'd be in a constant holy war condemning each other to death
Jesus people need people like me big time,we're their....Apostles!!!
When you can stop your so called "holy men" of the cloth from initiating those atrocities and hiding behind those walls of the churches....then there will be reason to believe....they bury their sin in unmarked graves.
No man has power to condemn, nor should any Christian have the desire to condemn. "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
Pink, you are not an apostle, nor do Christians need people like you. I only need to warn you of the consequences of your sin: eternal damnation.
"Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
Pink, you will never satisfy yourself with women. You have an emptiness that can only be filled by Christ.
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Break the chains of sin. Truly live life through Jesus Christ.
he may not be satisfied, but he'll sure be happy as hell

Great idea Obama!
Brunswick, OH 44212, USA
Skal, what am I wrong about?
See our discussion above about the DA and police working together.
In Albuquerque, the DA indicted and immediately faced repercussions. The police even claimed conflict of interest.
What happened is exactly why an independent investigator is needed.
Doesn't that prove my point? They indicted. Not such a cozy relationship if they are prosecuting the cop. Not such a cozy relationship if the Police are shutting them out. Thats the reality. One of mistrust of each other
No, it doesn't prove your point.
The opposite, really.
The police's actions may make the DA think twice before doing it again because it hurts other cases.
That's why IP is needed. It ain't rocket surgery
